The Young Adult wing of the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation UK (SSSOUK) consists of a vibrant, dynamic and determined cohort of young adults. Leading by example they are dedicated to living out the teachings of their Beloved Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba (or Swami as he is lovingly known) in their day to day lives.

Split over 8 regions in the UK, the wing is an essential part of the SSSOUK, integrating and working alongside all other wings, as well as centres, to engage in spiritual, service and Bal Vikas activities locally, regionally and nationally.

The UK young adults form the backbone of the Sri Sathya Sai Centres and Groups in the UK, participating in all aspects of running a centre including setting-up the venue, AV, and altar. They also participate in bhajans, playing various instruments and support all activities of the centre, such as study circles, bhajan practices, seva activities and Bal Vikas classes.

Under the direction and leadership of Swami, the young adults have always flourished. They undertake leadership roles within the organisation and also ensure that their conduct and character shines through in their workplaces, personal lives, community, and in wider society.

The YA wing also organises activities for young adults to come together and share Swami’s love and message through Young Adult Programmes, including: study circles, seva activities, inter-faith programmes, experience-sharing, bhajans, environmental initiatives and educational and skills-based workshops. These are delivered through centres, regions and nationally, ensuring that young adults have a forum to come together and meet other like-minded individuals who are on the same spiritual path.

Moreover, many of the Young Adults have had the opportunity to visit Prasanthi Nilayam and interact with Swami in His physical form. These young adults continue to be involved with the organisation, to serve and inspire the younger generation.

“The future of the country depends on the skill and the sincerity of the youth. Therefore, the necessary enthusiasm and encouragement must be generated among the youth. All my hopes are based on the students, the youth. They are very dear to me”. – Sri Sathya Sai Baba, (Sri Sathya Sai Speaks Volume 13 Chapter 1)
