Walk to Parthi | Sai Fitness Sadhana
To celebrate Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 100th Birthday, the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation UK CIO invites devotees, families and Sai Centres across the UK to take part in Walk to Parthi, a national fitness and spiritual sadhana challenge.
Your Personal Challenge
Each participant is encouraged to aim for: 60 miles per month
That’s approximately 2 miles a day, or around 5,000 steps. Together, we will then cover the total distance of 9,880 miles. You can participate at your own pace. The aim is not simply to reach a number, but to develop a consistent practice of movement, mindfulness and connection.

Key Considerations
Participation for individuals under 18
Strava accounts require users to be at least 13 years of age. Those below the age of 18 require approval from a parent or legal guardian to set up an account. Children under 13 are unable to create or operate a Strava profile.
Children under the age of 13 are fully welcome to offer their steps for this national sadhana, with their progress logged via a parent or guardian’s secondary account. Parents and guardians will be responsible for helping children choose safe routes and suitable privacy levels.
We kindly request parents and guardians to carefully inspect Strava’s terms, privacy settings and safety measures prior to allowing their child to join the Walk to Parthi club.
Health and Safety
Walk to Parthi is open to people of all ages and abilities, but everyone should take part at a pace and level that is appropriate for their individual fitness, mobility and circumstances.
Elderly devotees and anyone who is not accustomed to regular physical activity should take particular care. Start gradually, take regular breaks, stay hydrated and avoid pushing yourself beyond your limits. Please take extra care when walking outdoors, particularly on uneven or slippery surfaces and in poor weather conditions.
If you have an existing health condition, injury, mobility concern or are unsure whether increased physical activity is suitable for you, please consult your GP or healthcare professional before taking part.
If you experience chest pain, dizziness, unusual breathlessness, significant pain or feel unwell while exercising, stop immediately and seek appropriate medical attention.
Why Walk to Parthi?
Bhagawan reminded us:
“The body is the temple of God; hence it is duty of man to keep the temple in good condition.”
Nurture the Body: Build healthy habits through regular movement and physical activity.
Calm the Mind: Movement can support mental clarity, emotional balance and a greater sense of wellbeing.
Deepen Sadhana: Turn everyday activity into an opportunity for Namasmaran, Bhajans or chanting the Gayatri Mantra.
This is our opportunity to make everyday movement meaningful.
From one Centre to another, from one region to another, we walk as one UK Sai community. Join the journey and make every step count.
