National Easwaramma Day 2025

As part of the Sri Sathya Sai Centenary celebrations, National Easwaramma Day 2025 was a heartfelt day of gratitude, love, and joy.

Held on Saturday 17th May at The Grange Academy in Bushey, this special gathering brought together Bal Vikas children, parents, gurus, and devotees from across the UK. The day began with a beautiful opening procession, followed by uplifting group devotional singing (Bhajans), vibrant performances by the children, and, for the first time, exciting team activities designed to build unity and fun!

As part of our Centenary offering, our SSE children have also been engaging in the ‘100 Years of Pure Love’ initiative – a national sadhana focused on love, service, and spiritual growth, which added even more meaning to the day’s celebrations.

A big thank you to all who joined us and made this such a joyful and memorable occasion.

We look forward to many more moments of love, learning, and togetherness as we continue our Centenary journey. 🙏🏼

April National Sadhana Meeting | Zone 6 Pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam

With hearts full of devotion, devotees from across the UK gathered on Saturday 5th April for the third Sadhana Meeting, a significant milestone in our ongoing preparations for the Zone 6 UK and European Pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam this summer.

Our collective journey began earlier this year with an online Zoom session that sparked inspiration and unity among participants. This was followed by regional meetings across the country, each one nurturing the spiritual energy and enthusiasm that continues to grow. This most recent gathering brought us together nationally once again, reinforcing our shared commitment and deepening our sadhana as a united offering.

The meeting opened with the uplifting vibrations of powerful Vedam chanting, setting the tone for the day. Our National President, Brother Pratap Thakkar, and Zonal Chair, Brother Shitu Chudasama, then addressed devotees with heartfelt messages. Their words served as a reminder of the true essence of this sacred journey, not just a physical pilgrimage, but an inner one, rooted in transformation, unity, and unwavering devotion.

Each wing then shared updates, offering a glimpse into the dedication and love being poured into the various aspects of the pilgrimage, from music and drama to service and logistics. It was inspiring to see the collective effort shaping into a beautiful, coordinated offering to our beloved Bhagawan.

The highlight of the day was the breakout sessions, where groups came together to rehearse and plan the wide range of spiritual offerings and programmes that will take place in Prasanthi Nilayam from 28th July to 3rd August. These sessions were filled with energy, collaboration, and focused intention, reflecting the unity of purpose that lies at the heart of this pilgrimage.

As we journey forward together, this meeting stands as a meaningful step toward the Abode of Supreme Peace. With every chant, plan, and prayer, we move closer to offering our hearts at the Lotus Feet, in celebration of 100 Years of Pure Love.

Emergency Flood Relief in Eastern Sri Lanka

Emergency Flood Relief in Eastern Sri Lanka

Emergency Flood Relief in Eastern Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka recently experienced severe flooding, leading to tragic loss of life and the displacement of thousands. In response to this crisis, Merton Sai Centre, with the unwavering support of devotees across the UK, coordinated an emergency relief effort to provide essential aid to affected families.

Through this 4-part Seva, emergency supplies such as food, water, and dry rations were distributed to those in desperate need, reaching some of the hardest-hit communities in Northern and Eastern Sri Lanka.

Phase 1 & 2: Emergency Relief for Northern Sri Lanka

In December 2024, the first two phases of the Seva focused on delivering vital food and dry rations to families in the most affected parts of Northern Sri Lanka. Over 240 families received essential support, ensuring they had access to basic necessities during this difficult time.

Phase 3: Extending Support to Eastern Sri Lanka

As floodwaters continued to devastate Sri Lanka, the relief efforts expanded beyond the North to Eastern Sri Lanka, where communities faced severe flooding in the following weeks. Thanks to the generosity of devotees, an additional 110 families received emergency aid, helping them cope with the destruction and loss caused by the disaster.

Phase 4: Final Distribution – Rebuilding Lives

In the final phase of this Seva, another 150 families were supported as they worked to rebuild their lives. This marked the completion of the relief mission, ensuring that as many affected individuals as possible received the help they urgently needed.

Total Impact of the Relief Effort

  • 500 Families Supported
  • 10 Villages Benefitted
  • Aid Distributed in Jaffna, Batticaloa, and Ampara Districts

This incredible effort was made possible by the boundless love and generosity of the community. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed – whether through donations, prayers, or service – in making this relief initiative a reality.

With Swami’s grace, may we continue to serve those in need and bring hope to those facing hardships.
