Who is Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba?

Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, born in Puttaparthi (India) on 23rd November 1926, is revered worldwide as a spiritual teacher whose life and message of Love, Truth, Right Conduct, Peace, and Non-Violence have inspired millions across more than 130 countries.

Sri Sathya Sai Baba emphasised selfless service, the unity of all faiths, and the belief that divinity exists within every individual. His mission continues through the global network of Sai organisations, schools, hospitals, and humanitarian projects.

Sri Sathya Sai Organisation UK

Since its establishment in 1972, the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation UK has grown into a vibrant, diverse movement with nearly 70 centres nationwide, supported by thousands of volunteers.

Guided by the human values of Love, Truth, Right Conduct, Peace, and Non-Violence, our mission is to nurture the inherent divinity in every individual and to serve society through selfless service.

Our volunteers across the UK are actively engaged in:

  • Community Service Projects – food distribution, blood donation, refugee support, care home visits.

  • Disaster Relief Efforts – offering help both in the UK and internationally.

  • Youth Development – leadership training, interfaith dialogue, and character-building programmes.

  • Sathya Sai Education (Bal Vikas) – values-based education for nearly 1,000 children.

  • Environmental Initiatives – tree planting, recycling campaigns, and sustainability projects.

The Organisation is part of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council, uniting Sai Organisations in over 130 countries and continuing Swami’s mission of love and service worldwide.
