National Office Bearers and Active Workers Conference 2026

On Saturday 7th February, Office Bearers and Active Workers from across the UK came together for the annual National Office Bearers and Active Workers Conference (NOBC 2026). The day began with Vedam and closed with Aarti, and everything in between carried the same sense of purpose that brings us together each year: serving in Swami’s name.

Reflections from Bhagawan’s discourses opened the day, returning everyone to the basics. Unity isn’t a goal we work towards; it’s something we practise every day, in the way we speak to one another, the patience we show, the small acts of kindness we choose. One line from Swami stayed with many in the room: we may not always be able to oblige, but we can always speak obligingly.

Looking back on the Centenary year, there was a lot to be grateful for: A Bhajan A Week, A Moment With Sai, the Zone 6 Pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam, medical camps, national prayers, local events, it was a full and meaningful year. But the mood wasn’t one of pride. It was more like relief and gratitude, a recognition that what happened, happened through Swami’s divine grace.

Former National Council President, Brother Pratap, gave one of the most personal addresses of the day, reflecting honestly on the challenges of his term and what got him through them: faith, the support of those around him, and trusting that Swami was guiding it all. It was a reminder that the role isn’t easy, but we’re not doing it alone.

Zonal Chair Brother Shitu shared some of his personal experiences with Bhagawan, including Swami’s definition of jagat (the universe) as simply “coming and going.” From his years of experience, he offered three points he keeps coming back to: let go of the ego, have faith in God, and surrender to His will. Simple to say, but worth sitting with.

Current National Council President, Brother Sakthi, spoke about where the Organisation is heading, not with a list of targets, but with a genuine invitation to walk forward together, support one another, and keep Swami’s message at the centre of everything we do.

Deputy National President, Brother Roni, raised something important: the UK Organisation is actually one of the largest charities in the country, but we don’t always come across that way when dealing with external parties. With the publication of our first annual report and accounts, we now have a clear story to tell.

Each wing, Service, Young Adults, Spiritual, Bal Vikas, along with Digital Function and SSEHV, shared updates from the year. What came through clearly was that the work, whatever form it takes, is seva. Feeding someone, sitting with an elderly person, teaching a child about values, it all comes from the same place.

The workshops were lively. Topics like patience, forgiveness, and inner balance were discussed not as theories but as real questions people are navigating. There was also a forward-looking session on ideas for taking the Organisation to 2030 and beyond, and the energy in the room was genuinely encouraging; devotees had a lot to say, and a lot they want to do.

It was a full and worthwhile day. We came back to why we’re here, heard from those who’ve been walking this path for a long time, and left with a clearer sense of what we’re working towards. The path itself hasn’t changed: Love All, Serve All. Help Ever, Hurt Never.

Loving Sai Rams.

National Christmas Celebrations 2025

With Bhagawan’s Grace, the National Christmas Celebrations were held on Saturday 13th December 2025 in Sevenoaks, bringing together devotees from across the UK in an atmosphere filled with love, unity, and devotion.

We were blessed to be joined by Reverend Father Dr Paul Areman, a Catholic priest serving in the Archdiocese of Southwark, UK, who led us in prayer and offered inspiring reflections during the Christmas service.

The programme included opening prayers, sacred words of Bhagawan on the significance of Christmas, and a beautiful Christmas Service of Readings and Carols. This was followed by uplifting presentations from the Bal Vikas (SSE) children, including a meaningful drama, joyful carol offerings, and engaging interactive quiz sessions that brought together devotees of all ages.

The celebrations continued with festive activities, much to the delight of the children, along with a joyful visit from Santa, before the day concluded with Aarti, leaving everyone filled with peace and gratitude.

A heartfelt thank you to all who attended and contributed towards making this celebration so special and memorable. May the message of love, peace, and selfless service continue to inspire us all.

Loving Sai Rams.

Rudra Homam 2025 – Prayers for Universal Peace

Rudra Homam 2025 – Prayers for Universal Peace

The annual Rudra Ekadashi Homam for Universal Peace, hosted by Region 4, was conducted on Sunday 6th July. This year’s Homam was especially auspicious, as it coincided with Ashadi Ekadashi – a sacred day marking Lord Vishnu’s four-month celestial rest.

The day began with a Lingam procession, as the Lingam Pallak was carried from the Shirdi Baba shrine, at the Shri Venkateswara (Balaji) Temple, to the marquee where the Rudram chanting would take place. The grand entrance of the Lingam was accompanied by the powerful resonance of Vedic chanters, and as the priests welcomed the Lingam with an Aarti, the sisters sang a beautiful Swagatam (welcome song). Swami’s presence was felt amongst all who were gathered. The Lingam was then placed onto a table, and the priests commenced the Pooja, chanting the following Vedic mantras: Ganesh Prarthana, Punyahavachanam, and Kalashasthapanam.

Brother Mahesh Narayan delivered a welcome address, speaking on the significance of the Vedas, with Rudram described as the supreme prayer among them. He explained how chanting the Rudram invokes Lord Shiva in the aspirant’s heart, a Lord who was never born and can never die. Therefore, the Rudram grants an individual a sense of immortality, cleansing sins (though he cheekily reminded everyone this wasn’t a free pass to commit them!).

Following the address, participants chanted the Sai Gayatri mantra 108 times before the Ekadasa Rudra Abishekam began. The Rudram chanting, led by a powerful team of Vedic chanters, consists of two parts: Namakam and Chamakam. During the Ekadasa Rudra Abishekam, the Namakam was chanted eleven times, each followed by a verse (Anuvaka) of the Chamakam. After each Namakam, the priest performed Aarti to the Lingam, and special prayers for Lokakshemam (global well-being) were offered in Sanskrit and English. While the main Abishekam was ongoing, devotees simultaneously conducted individual Paduka Poojas under priestly guidance.

Upon completing the eleven rounds of chanting, the priests carried out the Vasordhara, a sacred ritual in which ghee is poured continuously into a fire, followed by the Poornahuti, the final offering ritual, where grains, fruits, flowers, and other sacred items are placed into the fire. This was followed by the Kalashabhishekam, the ceremonial pouring of holy water from consecrated Kalashams (pots), and an Abishekam of the Lingam using those same waters.

Next came the Maha Alankaram (decorating of the Lingam) and the Maha Naivedyam (offering of food to the Lingam). While these took place, Young Adults offered a variety of Ashtakams (eight-verse prayers), Suktams (Vedic hymns), and bhajans.

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for. As the Lingam stood beautifully decorated, the screens were opened to reveal the darshan of the Lord. The decorations were ornate and breathtaking, adding a divine glow to the day’s sacred energy. As the priests offered prayers for world peace, a moving Tevaram recital (devotional hymn) was delivered by one of the sisters. The programme concluded with Aarti and Maha Prashadam.

Final National Sadhana Meeting (July) | Zone 6 UK & European Pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam

With just a few weeks to go until our sacred Zone 6 pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam, devotees from across the UK came together for the final National Sadhana Meeting on Saturday 12th July.

This final gathering brought together all the energy and momentum built over the past few months. There was a real sense of unity, love, and purpose as we prepared to take the next step in this spiritual journey, not just as individuals, but as a collective offering at His divine feet.

The day began with the powerful vibrations of Vedam chanting, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Throughout the day, each wing focused on final preparations, from rehearsals and team updates to logistics and coordination across music, drama, service, media and more. The dedication and effort of every team was clear to see and reflected the shared commitment behind this pilgrimage.

Before lunch, we came together as one group to practise the main group song that will be offered in front of Bhagawan in Prasanthi. No spoilers… but here’s a clue: the song was written and sung by a member of The Beatles.

The day concluded with bhajans, aarti, and a few closing reflections. As we now look ahead to our time in Prasanthi Nilayam, this meeting marked the final step in our UK preparations. With Swami’s grace, we are ready to embark on this journey, with open hearts and a shared sense of devotion.
